Syrian refugees? NO NO NO

Post by Volleygirl on Fri Dec 04, 2015 9:42 am

Okay, this came up today and I almost went off.
Our President is most certainly an idiot, as well as that former army vet Tammy Ducksworth who is a Senator or something.

Wake up, we do not need Syrian refugees in the United States. It is not our problem, we got people living here to take care of. Syria harbrs terrorists, and this Obama idiot wants to allow thousands in here without being screened.

SHUT the borders to the United States, it's time to stop trying to be the caretaker for the Middle East.

These men, women, and children are fleeing their homeland because of violence.
We are a super power, we are looked up to by the rest of the world to do the Christian thing. Shutting our borders or turning them away is not the answer.

I am sorry that I happen to feel compassion for people and you don't.
You may not like the President, but the office of President deserves respect, not name calling like you and Karissa did. I expected better from high school students.

Now that the peanut gallery from St. Mary's has responded, let me remind you, that some of these women and children have been suicide bombers and blown themselves and other people up.

So don't start with the feel sorry for people bit, and learn more facts before you offer your 13 year old opinion.

regardless of how old anyone that comments on this is, we should all respect each others' opinions, personally I wouldn't have even put this post on here just to diffuse any anger that may arise from it, so, that being said, our president Barack Obama is a human being and as all human beings, he makes mistakes, we need to learn from these mistakes so that we don't end up repeating them in the future

I feel they should be allowed to enter the United States, but only after each and every one of them is screened, and background checked.
If there is the slightest indication they have terrorists links, or are related to a known terrorist, they should be denied.
To just let them in here without this is dangerous.

Everyone here is allowed to express their opinion, whether they are our youngest member who is 11, to our 18 year olds.

I realize this is a hot topic, but I would hope we are all mature enough to post on this, and do so in a respectful and mature manner.

Personally my opinion is Obama is putting America at risk, and these people should not be allowed to come here.

There have been a lot of debates about the Syrian refugee's, along with the turmoil in the Middle East, and ISIS.
Because of the terrorist attacks in France, a lot of us took that personal, and our emotions can sometimes rule out rational thinking.
We need to have faith in our elected leaders, although we this President, many, including me do not trust him any longer to do the right thing.
I feel just letting people in this country with no screening is foolish.
But to deny everyone fleeing violence to come here is wrong, and inhumane.

Okay, it's the holiday season, we live in a safe country thanks to people in the military like my dad who keep us safe.
Let's not get angry over Syrian refugee's, or worry about this, and most important let's not attack one another here, we are all friends here.
