Homecoming Annoyance

Post by JaKoB on Mon Sep 18, 2017 6:16 pm

Just something I would like to get off my chest. Homecoming will be here soon, and it's time for each class to design a float. I get plenty of "well it won't look good if we do this" or "we should do this". Those same people that give advice or criticism have as of yet not signed up to work on our class float. This float is for the entire freshman class, it would be nice if the majority of the freshman class came and helped is with it when we start designing it.

Same thing with concession stands at football games. The money we make goes back into our class fund,
the more we make, the more we have to spend on homecoming,or when we are juniors seniors, our Prom.
Would like to see more people sign up to work out concession stands when our class is in charge of them for football and basketball games.

Advice, if you are not going to help, then do not criticize what the few of us are doing that are trying to benefit our class.

I could not agree more with you Jakob. Let's make a big push this week in school with some signs and get the word out.

I'm all for getting the word out, as busy as most of us are as class officers, or sports, if we can find time to help out, so can people who do not play sports or get involved in any school activity.

Unfortunately, Critics That Never Join In & Help, Are All Too Common...!

Leading Through Example, Will Probably Get You The Best Results....!

Very Encouraging To See You All Make These Observations Public & Hoping Your Efforts Bring Great Results....!

It really gets annoying when you get to be a Senior and the same people end up helping over and over again, which is a small amount of your class. One problem is the people that always show up get burned out by the 3rd year, then they do not volunteer anymore either.

You get out of high school what you put into it, you may have to give up a little free time, but it's fun, and benefits a lot of people.
